Due to COVID-19, the surgery will be only open for emergency care, and supply of medication and food.
If you have concerns about your pet, we are offering telephone and video appointments for triage and advice. Please do not come into the surgery unless advised by a member of staff, or to collect food or medication.
During this period, our opening hours are:
Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am - 12:00pm
In line with government advice, and in order to maintain social distancing, our doors will remain closed at all times and we will see your pet on the following basis:
If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or if you or someone in your household are self isolating, do not come to the surgery. Please contact us by phone
You will be asked to wait in the car/outside and telephone us on arrival
Your pet will collected from outside the practice by a member of staff
You should remain outside while your pet is examined
After examination, we will call you to discuss and agree a treatment plan over the phone or video link
We will take payment over the phone
We will arrange contact-free collection of medication
We are now resuming annual vaccination of all dogs.
Cats may be vaccinated 15 months after their previous vaccine, in line with advice from the British Veterinary Association. For example, if your cat was last vaccinated in March 2019, it would usually be given a booster vaccine in March 2020, but we would advise delaying it until June 2020 due to COVID-19.
We are also now dispensing flea and worming treatment for pets, and resuming other services such as neutering in some instances.
For more information please see the advice issued by the British Veterinary Association
